The "Colline Metallifere/Alta Maremma" is just the site for a vacationer who loves quiet and relaxing places and adores sportive activities like trekking, mountain biking, riding, etc.The hills of the Colline Metallifere are densely forestet with chestnut- and oak trees. A great place for small and long trekking tours or horseback riding.

Bather will find excellent conditions along the Thyrrhenian Sea or on the Elba Island, which you can reach at the nearby ferry terminal in Piombino. The coast along the Thyrrenian Sea is reach in variety; The Etruscan Riviera offers long, wide and sandy beaches. The adjacent part, borderd with natural parks, has many lonly beaches accessible on foot or boat.

In the small villages you will find the original and still down-to-earth cuisine "the casalinga". During the summer months you may attend concerts, operas or theatrical performances in old monasteries, churches or stone pits. The autumn is the time for colourful markets, harvest festivals with their regional gastronomic specialities.
